The Zenith Fashion Evolution
Overview: On March 8th we will embark on a Fashion Evolution, presented by The Nakkals. The Zenith is more than a fashion show this is an evolution. Changing the way we look and think about fashion challenging the creativity and individualism of our peers. Offering food catered by Island Frydays, live music from Valley High and (Zay) Fantasy Life accompanied with a conceptual dance piece. This show will represent the rise and fall of fashion from the 40’s until now. This message will be delivered through music art and fashion not separate but as one. Traveling through time showing the many states of fashion and how fashion influenced people. The audience will be taken on a wild rollercoaster of emotions with live entertainment and a theatrical play to portray each era of fashion, relating each piece with each other showing that all is one. Showing how the youth of today are heavily influenced by the media and society. Creating restrictions and standards based on your clothing, making the material more important than the person. We are challenging this was of thinking and trying to break down the walls of ignorance. A person character should not be judged based on the brand of clothes they are wearing. We as a people should not look down or pre judge someone because they don’t look or wear or sound the same as you. We are all unique and we are all one instead of looking down on each other for our differences we should embrace them. Never should you think higher or lesser of our self because of a brand. Instead we ask that you wear what makes you happy and expresses you as an individual. Ultimately trying to break down all the stereotypes of fashion, we will have all original pieces and clothing provided by TM Vintage and Jamila Mariama both inspiring designers who attend University of Cincinnati and DAAP.
